While many Pet Detectives work nationally there may be
someone close to you. When your pet goes missing it is EXTREMELY important that you check all shelters personally! It
is not enough to simply call or fax a photo to them and rely on the shelter to verify if your pet has been turned into them.
Shelters are extremely busy places and not only do faxes and photos get misplaced but people view animals differently and
what you may call a Maltese someone at the shelter may log in as a Lhaspo Apso. You may consider your cat a large sized Maine
Coon but the shelter may perceive your cat simply as a DSH. Most shelters will only hold an animal for 72 hours before making
that pet available for adoption! That is not a long period of time by any measure so timing is critical. Check the shelters
personally and frequently and be sure you are aware of ALL shelters in your area. Pet Detectives Near You
